10 USD: Basic General Inking (B&W)

Mixed-media illustration of a basic general ink sketch request.

Now let's get started. This is great if you have a basic idea of the design and need to clarify it, a character you like (fan art), or perhaps your OC, done as a doodle for personal use. (Or if you just have a short budget).

A reference should be clear and specified in writing before the drawing/project/commission is resumed.

20 USD: Basic Colour Render

Mix medium-colour single illustrations of your favourite/original character from a typical single bust portrait. 

Now this is great! It's good for showing clear visuals and details of your favourite character or original character on a bust for design or TTRPGs. (This will be a single illustration of your Original Character in a particular pose of your choice from Bust!)

A reference should be clear and specified in writing before the drawing/project/commission is resumed.

40 USD: Dynamic Splash Art (Background and Colour Render Included)

Now this is the real deal! It's perfect for your Hearthrobe fandom or showing off your original character in a cool and dynamic pose viewed from head to toe, background included.

A reference should be clear and specified in writing before the drawing/project/commission is resumed.

50 USD: Concept Art Turnaround

Mix medium-colour illustrations of one concept art variant sheet.

Now this is professional. This is perfect for conceptualizing and visualizing original characters for design, animation, or video games. (This will be "full turnaround." You'll get your character from every point of view!)

A reference should be clear and specified in writing before the drawing/project/commission is resumed.

TOS OF JOEMETVII COMMISSIONS 

01 - General Terms

• Prices are subject to change based on demand.
• I have the right to reject any order for any reason.

02 - Payment

The accepted currency is USD, and it can be paid through PayPal / E-transfer (one-way transaction, no refund).

• Projects / Commissions can be paid 100% upfront or split 80% upfront and 20% after sketch approval.
• Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to give you a slot and requested that you send me the payment.

03 - Process & Delivery

The timeline period to finish the project / commission varies from a week to 3 months, depending on factors such as health, the complexity of the project / commissioned piece, other work, and convention seasons.

• Once the piece is finished, you will receive the full-resolution image along with a web-friendly size. Note that there is no physical product.

04 - Revisions

 Changes or any revision of the project / commissioned piece are not included in the price.

• An extra fee will be applied if client / buyer wants something to be changed after the project / commission was approved to resume.
• If client / buyer wishes to change something in the drawing / project / commission after previous approval, the extra charge will be considered as a revision price based on the price list.
• Reference should be clear and be specified in writing before drawing / project / commission is resumed.

05 - Copyright & Usage

I, "Joemetvii, joemetvii, Joemet, joemet, jmonarchvii, joemetmonarch, Joemet Monarch, Jomonar, Jo Monar" (the artist):

I reserve the right to cancel and refund the order at any time for any reason.

• I retain all copyrights over the project / commissioned artwork.
• I will NOT claim the intellectual property (IP) of the project / commissioned artwork (the copyrighted characters are still client / buyer property , etc.)
• I will NOT profit further from the project / commissioned artwork unless client / buyer (the customer) breaks any of the terms.
• I reserve the right to post the project / commissioned artwork online, in my portfolio as well as in publications such as art books.
• I also have a right to receive a royalty fee & credit if used for merchandising and / or advertising.
• A royalty fee is 10% of the gross income of the client / buyer from any merchandising and / or advertising.

You (the customer / commissioner):

You / client / buyer may upload the project / commissioned artwork on any website and social channels. However You / Client / Buyer;

• May NOT make profits from the commissioned piece (reselling, redistributing, uploading to POD-services, making prints for selling, etc.)
• May NOT alter the commissioned artwork without my (the artist's) consent.
• May be allowed to sell the artwork if it is a part of an Adoptable with a condition that needs to be discussed with me (the artist) prior to paying for the artwork through.
• If artwork is to be auctioned, I (the artist) need to be advised where and what auction it will happen or know when art will be auctioned. For me (the artist) needs to be credited and receive a royalty fee of 10% of the auction value / price.
• You retain the rights to the intellectual property (IP).
• You may NOT use the project / commissioned artwork for commercial purposes Unless otherwise agreed to pertain credit and royalties.

The following is considered copyright infringement:​

Reproducing / using the copyrighted artwork commercially - means making money off it in any way not excluded from these terms.

• Claiming the artwork as your own Altering the artwork without my consent that is also includes any application, AI arts software for testing, training, or educational purposes, In some cases, the commercial rights to the image may be purchased.

What about commercial use?

I addressed all of this under 05 Copyright & Usage in the table above. I use a section in my Terms of Service to state what rights to the artwork I (the artist) have and what rights the customer has. 

Remember to alter the text if the case is different for you. Usually, it's enough to write, "You may not use the commissioned artwork commercially", I just added some more details for the client, so they know what that includes / means

06 - Cancellation & Refund policy

The client / buyer is not allowed a refund once the job starts working on the project / commission. Or especially when use of E-transfer (one-way transaction, no refunds) 

• If for any reason I am unable to start the project / commission, the client will receive a full refund.
• If the client cancels orders before the job is started, the client can get only a 90% refund.
• The kill fee for cancelling the project / commission after work has begun is 50%, the client can only refund 50% of the commission's price. And the client then receives the work as is per is.

If the client / buyer wishes to cancel the commission after the work has started, the client / buyer can be issued a refund but agrees to pay the kill fee.

Paypal specific:

If you are getting a refund, do not request a Paypal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.

• If you request a Paypal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund you will lose all before-mentioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. I will decline the chargeback and supply Paypal with our conversations in which we agreed about the commission as evidence that I have completed work for the client / buyer. Furthermore, Client / buyer will be blacklisted for any project / commissioning next time.
